The Forest Side of Loughborough is situated to the West side of the town, flanked by Park Road to the left and The Loughborough University Campus to the right. Forest Road and Beacon Road are the main arterial roads leading you straight out of the town centre and into the Forest Side of town. This area has long been synonymous with the very best of aspirational family living, with Mountfields Lodge and Holywell Primary Schools, Woodbrook Vale Secondary School and only a 10 minute walk onto the Loughborough University Campus. Newsagents and small independent shops are dotted around the area, including the delicious Bom Bom Patisserie on Derwent Drive. There is a post office and shop on Forest Road, along with The Forest Gate, Beacon Inn and The Priory pubs, all of which serve a fabulous array of food and drink to suit every taste. Childrens parks and picturesque countryside is on the doorstep, making this a haven for families and those looking for a relaxed pace of life, yet only 10 minutes drive or bus ride away from the town centre.

Houses for sale on the Forest Side of Loughborough have long been in demand and are made up of a superb range of ages and styles. There is a predominant selection of properties built in the Victorian Era and later in the 1920’s and 1930’s around Beacon Road, Wallace Road, and the Conservation area of Herrick Road, Charnwood Road and Middleton Place. The very sought after group of roads including Outwoods Road, Hilltop Road, Pantain Road and Sunnyhill Road boast a range of particularly attractive properties built around the 1950’s, many by locally renowned builder Corah & Sons.

The large 1960’s Jelson built development of homes on the Forest Side between Holywell School and the University Campus is an eternally popular choice, offering a wonderful array of family homes and a friendly neighbourhood feel. The wonderfully peaceful Fairmount Drive, Holywell Drive and Spinney Hill Drive offer the discerning family purchaser a perfect blend of character, spacious gardens and conveniently located facilities.
